Went TOASTMASTERS with kaiyan today..finally i went for it, this guy has been trying to convince me to join or at least go listen and find out how it is like. So today we went down to SRC to watch the area competition for Humorous and Evaluation speech.. The atmosphere in that function room when i step in was great, great in the sense that everyone there were adults, u know when ur in an adult world, the feeling is totally different..only 2 handfuls of ppl were in their early 20s and in university..managed to get 2 name cards and got to know quite a few ppl..haha..not sure whether they would remember me if we meet again..if they do, probably the reason would be my name..lol
Anyway, during the various speeches, Karen was sitting beside me..and she's got that SIA girl perfume smell..btw, she's from SIM Toastmasters, and also University of London, and i got to know her through kaiyan. And she's PRETTY! so lucky to have her sitting beside me and we shared a little comments with each other..how nice is dat..During the interval, she had to visit the ladies and go off after dat so i took the chance to take her to the toilet, so dat i could maybe chat wif her a little more..haha.. she asked for my age and asked whether i'm 20.. if i said i was 18..she might be shocked, so i said around there, not mentioning the number 20.. after which, i found out she's 23! darn!! why am i always looking at ''LADIES'' and not GIRLS anymore..
After Karen went off and i went back into the function hall, kaiyan told me karen was a AIR STEWARDESS! gosh..no wonder got dat similar perfume smell..The speech was really great..i like nathaniel's humor speech, it was the only one dat was really humorous..the older ppl who tried making humor didnt really capture much of my attention. So it was nathaniel the 20 yr who won it. The oldies were juz kinda boring..lol
